Online business processing for importers, exporters & supply chain partners

Mercor is a series of online business services for processing different aspects of international trade transactions that is being piloted internationally and will be launched during 2008.

The software that provides these services has been built after many years of research into user needs in the industry and is based on a UN/CEFACT model for international trade transactions. It is among the first to be based on UNeDocs, a new worldwide electronic trade document standard that enables systems interoperability.

Mercor is an online product - it runs entirely on the Internet and is accessed and used via a standard Internet connection and browser. This enables easy set up, efficient maintenance and support and low cost business collaboration and information sharing among supply chain partners.

Based on international standards, Mercor is a ‘connected' service that can talk to other software systems and services across international boundaries using UN/CEFACT standard XML or EDI.

Mercor has been designed to deliver supply chain visibility and added value information about the movement of goods and interaction with customs and other regulatory systems.
