Mercor will enable supply chain partners to collaborate and process international trade transactions and goods movements.

Right now it is being developed and piloted internationally and it will provide services for importers, exporters and their freight partners.

It has been conceived to work collaboratively with ports of entry, customs, revenue and other regulatory systems and it is based on international standards aligned with UN/CEFACT, the World Customs Organisation, IATA, ASEAN, SITPRO and others.

Mercor will be different because it is a ‘connected' service that can talk to other systems and services across international boundaries.

Mercor is web-based - it runs entirely on the Internet and is accessed and used via a standard Internet connection and browser. This enables easy set up, efficient maintenance and support and low cost business collaboration and information sharing among supply chain partners.

The software that provides these services has been built upon an information model of international trade transactions that is the result of many years of rigorous research and detailed analysis in the industry.

Mercor has been designed to deliver supply chain visibility and added value information about the movement of goods and interaction with customs and other regulatory systems.
